A Shamanic Psychotherapy Professional Development Program

A one year part time program to give experience and tools to integrate spiritual and shamanic practices into psychotherapy and counselling

Shamanic Psychotherapy is one of the most inclusive approaches in the art of self-transformation. It combines the ancient ways of healing with, and through, Spirit with conscious exploration of the body / psyche promoting healing of the self and environmental responsibility. It can take one into an intense life changing process and deep spiritual connection. Shamanic Psychotherapy is rooted in a passionate love for the Divine Mystery, the Earth and Human journey.

This program is designed to be complementary to a psychotherapy and/or counsellor training as a professional development course. So it will not address basis in psychotherapy and counselling but will focus in shamanic and spiritual practices; other views and ways of healing and how to integrate into a psychotherapy pratice.

It follows some western training as well as the ancient model of shaman's apprenticeship, where one learns through example, oral tradition and living experience.

This program is designed in 9 modules. Each module have one intention, theme and content yet it is all blended into experience, practice and spiritual growth. The modules are held in a 4 days residential intensive- Fri 10 am to Mon 4pm at a retreat centre out of town. For dates please check schedule.

Modules themes and some content:

• Module 1: Introduction to Shamanic practices - developing senses, working with the elements, journeying.
• Module 2: Ceremonies and Rituals - Teachings , creative rituals, sweat lodge ceremony, and possibly one day vision quest.
• Module 3: Body energy work; the energetic body, chacras, grounding, clearing methods, sound healing and other shamanic ways of working with the body. Fire ceremony.
• Module 4: Regression, Clearing ancestry patterns and other ritual/ ceremony
• Module 5: Entity Release - W. Baldwin method and shamanic practices
• Module 6: Soul Retrieval and water ceremony
• Module 7: Review, integrating shamanic approaches in psychotherapy practices, finding your individual gifts, introduction to deep ecology and ecological shamanism in time of changes.
• Module 8: Shamanic Creative Processes, case studies and sweat lodge ceremony
• Module 9: Cases studies, and recognition ceremony

Fee per module: $420 + HST + accomodation and food

Accomodation will vary according to the number of participants and food will be shared and prepared together.

At registration there is a non refundable deposit of $150.00
